Pubco Stonegate plans to spend £1m on converting its Australian-themed Walkabout site in Temple into its second Latin-American inspired Salsa! bar.

A short walk from Embankment Tube station, the site will open on 14 September, with influences taken from the original Salsa! bar in Charing Cross – including “bold, bright colours, traditional artwork and the perfect carnival atmosphere to salsa the night away”.

Thriving new site

Liam Martyn, general manager of the Temple venue, said: “We are so excited to be launching a second bar in London.

“We have such a loyal group of customers who return night after night and we’re proud to have the opportunity to launch a thriving new site for them, and look forward to welcoming a whole new set of Londoners”.

The bar will offer tapas, fajitas and 'loaded sharing planks', and more than 50 cocktails on the drinks list along with Latin American beers and flavoured Tequilas.

Not only that, the bar will put on daily salsa lessons, from merengue, bachata to lambada, and will have performances from Latin bands and DJs.
