The Bay Horse Inn, a character property in North Street, Ashburton, with its origins dating back some 300 years, has been sold off an asking price of offers in excess of £325,000. Gary Roberts, of Distinctive Business Agents, said the affluent town of Ashburton enjoyed good access to Exeter and Plymouth via the A38 Devon expressway. He continued: "The business has a main bar and pool room, with a ground-floor kitchen not used for food sales, and chilled beer cellar." Tap into Brewery The Brewery Tap public house, located within The Old Reading Brewery building, on Castle Street, Reading, has entered the market. The current lessees, Eddie and Alexandra Murphy, have owned the leasehold interest for two years and are now looking for a quieter pub as they have a young family. The selling agent is the Milton Keynes office of Christie & Co, who are seeking £325,000 for the remaining leasehold. The Brewery Tap, which has a rustic feel and has recently been refurbished, occupies a three-storey character property in the centre of Reading.
